My name is Matt Papageorge.
I grew up in Houston Texas and went to School in Austin at the University of Texas. I lived in San Jose, CA for one summer on an internship. I have a BS of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
I am currently System Firmware Engineer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise. It is my first job out of college and I have been there since June 2011.
I consider myself a natural engineer and go-getter. I like learning the big picture as quickly as possible. I do my best every day to actively lead and to set a good example with my work. I am not a perfectionist, but I know how to prioritize what is important and save what is not until later.
I first knew I wanted to be an engineer at an early age. I have always had some sort of DIY project in progress after school or work. In addition to side projects being interesting, more times than not things that I have learned in one field ended up being cross disciplinary. This has helped me lots with open ended design problems in school/work.
I am most competent with programming languages C and C#. I can code in many other languages, but these are my favorite currently. I am just as comfortable working with development boards, building proto-boards, using oscilloscopes and reading component specs as I am coding.
Please take a look at some of the projects I have documented on this site.
